Experience
I work at Pierce Community College tutoring at the college level. I originally wanted to be a tutor because I feel that anyone has the ability to learn information and should have access to the resources to improve their knowledge. After my experience tutoring, I have developed a true passion for helping others improve themselves so they can see themselves succeed. I have done several trainings of which include: Effective Communication, Study Skills, Values of Motivation, Adult Learners, and more. I participated in the Running Start program in High School, and maintained a 3.49 GPA at the college level, completing my AA and HS at the same time. In high school, I failed to apply myself because I didn't feel challenged. I felt the high school community wasn't a place I fit in. Once I discovered a challenge and the skills to study smarter, I improved myself tremendously. I hope that I can help other young kids find a reason to succeed for themselves and take pride in their successes.
